For California Residents Only: California Proposition 65 Warning
WARNING: Some products may contain chemicals that are known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm.
Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposure to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. In August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, effective on August 30, 2018, which change the information required in Proposition 65 warnings.

This OS2 MTP® 144-fiber pigtail trunk cable is built for high-density single-mode fiber backbone applications where one end requires a factory-terminated MTP® interface and the opposite end is prepared for field termination. Featuring MTP®-12 APC female connectors on one end and an unterminated pigtail end on the other, this assembly is ideal for rapid network deployment, fusion splicing, mechanical splicing, and long-distance fiber installations.
MTP Cables Cable Mgmt Tutorial
| Cable Type | MTP® pigtail trunk cable |
| Fiber Count | 144 fibers |
| Connector End | MTP®-12 APC female |
| Opposite End | Unterminated pigtail end for field splicing |
| Fiber Type | Single Mode OS2 / G.657.A1 bend-insensitive fiber |
| Insertion Loss | 0.35dB max low insertion loss |
| Jacket Rating | LSZH indoor-rated double jacket |
| Minimum Bend Radius | 10mm |
| Installation Method | Fusion splicing or mechanical splicing |
| Recommended Use | High-density single-mode backbone links requiring field termination |
This cable is designed for structured single-mode fiber installations where the MTP® side connects into cassette, enclosure, or distribution hardware, while the unterminated end can be spliced directly into the field system. The 144-fiber construction helps maximize fiber capacity while keeping routing clean and efficient.
Before installation, verify connector gender, fiber count, splice plan, and enclosure compatibility. Pigtail trunk cables are commonly used when one side needs a factory MTP® interface and the other side must be field-spliced into existing fiber infrastructure.
Need this cable in a longer run or custom configuration? Contact us and we can help match the right length, connector type, fiber count, jacket rating, and installation style for your project.
Need help matching this pigtail trunk cable to a splice tray, cassette, enclosure, or existing fiber system? Our fiber specialists can help confirm fiber type, connector gender, fiber count, splice method, and application fit before you order.
