Description:

OS2 MTP® 48 — Hybrid Fiber Trunk Cable — 6 LC UPC Duplex Uniboot — Type B
MTP®-12 APC Female to 6 LC UPC Duplex Uniboot  |  48 Fibers  |  OS2 Single Mode  |  OFNP Plenum

This OS2 MTP® 48-fiber hybrid trunk cable is built for high-density single-mode fiber applications where an MTP® backbone needs to transition directly into LC duplex connections. Featuring a MTP®-12 APC female connector on one side and 6 LC UPC duplex uniboot connectors on the breakout side, this assembly is ideal for cabinet-to-cabinet runs, data centers, enterprise network rooms, and plenum-rated installations.

Why this cable is used
  • Hybrid trunk design — Transitions from MTP® backbone cabling to LC duplex equipment-side connections.
  • High-density LC breakout — 6 LC UPC duplex uniboot connectors help keep patching areas cleaner and more organized.
  • OS2 single-mode performance — Designed for long-distance, high-performance fiber links in data center and enterprise environments.
  • APC MTP® connector polish — Angled MTP® connector interface helps reduce back reflection in single-mode fiber systems.
  • Type B polarity — Commonly used in structured MTP®/MPO trunk cabling systems.
Our solution
  • US Conec MTP® connectors — Premium connector hardware for reliable mating and repeatable performance.
  • Optimal 0.35dB low insertion loss — Helps maintain signal integrity across high-density single-mode fiber links.
  • G.657.A1 bend-insensitive fiber — 10mm minimum bend radius supports tighter routing inside cabinets, trays, and raceways.
  • 2.0mm breakout legs — Small-diameter breakouts save space in congested high-density patching areas.
  • Color-coded connector boots — Makes connector identification faster during installation and service.
  • OFNP plenum jacket — Fire safety-rated for use in plenum air spaces.
  • Double jacket construction — Provides a durable hybrid trunk cable build for demanding installation environments.

Service & application

This hybrid trunk cable is designed for structured single-mode fiber systems where MTP®/MPO backbone cabling needs to break out directly into LC duplex connections. The 48-fiber construction and LC uniboot breakout help reduce cable clutter while supporting clean routing in high-density network environments.

Installation Tip

Always verify polarity type, MTP® connector gender, APC/UPC interface compatibility, fiber count, LC breakout layout, and equipment-side interface before installation. Hybrid MTP® to LC assemblies must match the intended cassette, enclosure, or direct-connect architecture.
