Product Description

2mm OM4 LC/LC Multi-Mode Duplex Fiber Jumper Cable – VIOLET

OFNR Optical Fiber Nonconductive Riser

Proudly Made In The USA

Assembled in Phoenix Arizona

Multimode fiber started with OM1 orange 62.5 µm core size & all was good @ 10 Gbps
out to 33m max.
Then along came OM2, also orange, with a 50µm core. OM2 was good @ 10 Gbps out
to 82m max but was NOT backwards compatible with OM1 and the jacket looked the same!
Not good.
Next came OM3 aqua 50µm but was laser optimized @ 10 Gbps out to 300m & @ 100
Gbps out to 100m. It was aqua so it stood out from OM2.
All good.
Now along comes OM4. Also 50µm and laser optimized and backwards compatible with
OM3 but was good @ 10 Gbps out to 550m & @ 100Gbps it was good out to 150m.
Alas, the TIA did not specify a new color for OM4, they left it as aqua!
Not good.
However, in Europe they chose to differentiate OM4 from OM3 by choosing violet for OM4.

That made sense to us, so now Gruber offers Made In The USA OM4 in violet.

For California Residents Only: California Proposition 65 Warning
WARNING: Some products may contain chemicals that are known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm.

Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposure to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. In August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, effective on August 30, 2018, which change the information required in Proposition 65 warnings.
