For California Residents Only: California Proposition 65 Warning
WARNING: Some products may contain chemicals that are known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm.
Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposure to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more than 850 chemicals. In August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, effective on August 30, 2018, which change the information required in Proposition 65 warnings.

This OM4 LC to SC duplex fiber jumper cable provides high-performance connectivity between modern networking equipment and traditional fiber infrastructure. Featuring a compact LC connector on one end and a reliable SC connector on the other, this cable is commonly used when connecting high-density switches or transceivers to SC-based patch panels. The flexible 2.0Â mm orange jacket allows clean cable routing while supporting demanding high-speed optical networking environments.
| Fiber Type | Jacket Color | Core Size | Typical Speed | Distance | Best Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| OM1 | Orange | 62.5 µm | 1 Gbps | ~275 m | Legacy networks |
| OM2 | Orange | 50 µm | 1 Gbps | ~550 m | Enterprise networks |
| OM3 | Aqua | 50 µm (laser optimized) | 10 Gbps | ~300 m | Modern data centers |
| OM4 | Erika Violet | 50 µm (advanced laser optimized) | 10–100 Gbps+ | ~550 m (10G) ~150 m (40/100G) |
High-performance data centers |
The primary differences between OM1, OM2, OM3, and OM4 multi-mode fiber involve core size, bandwidth capability, supported transmission distance, and maximum data rate. Higher-grade multimode fiber supports faster speeds and longer reach for modern high-bandwidth networking environments.
